Impact of Vegetation Management policy on Bushfires

Reminding community members that they can have their say in an ‘Inquiry into the Impact of Vegetation Management policy on Bushfires’ is Dan Tehan, Member for Wannon.

The inquiry and its assessment of the impact of changes to state vegetation clearing laws was welcomed by Dan Tehan in early December, when it was announced by the

Minister for Natural Disaster and Emergency Management, David Littleproud, despite prompting community members in the Wannon region of this opportunity, Mr Tehan said that he was still very mindful that many people across Australia were still facing bushfire activity.

The Committee will be reporting on the efficacy of both current and past vegetation and land management policies.

Mr Tehan is encouraging community members who are interested in vegetation and land management to get involved with the cut off date being 28th February 2020, public contributions to the inquiry will be accepted, with further public hearings to be announced on the inquiry website.
