For locals on the worst deals
From July first locals who are on the worst energy contracts will be switched to a better deal, under a fairer pricing scheme.
The Essential Services Commission will set the price of gas and electricity, rather than the power companies.
The average household is set to save up to 520 dollars a year, while small businesses could save as much as 23 hundred dollars on their annual bills.
Commission chair Dr Ron Ben-David says he's confident smaller retailers won't be driven out of the market.
