Hooked on Portland

Hooked on Portland will return to Portland Foreshore over the long weekend. The festival begins at 10 tomorrow.

The free event is hosted in partnership with the Glenelg shire.

Alcohol can not be consumed in the CBD area and are heavily restricted on Portland Foreshore.Security will be ensuring compliance with the local law so head over to the Hooked on Portland Facebook page for more information.

In the simplest terms below are two maps that clearly show where alcohol CANNOT be consumed.

Map 1- no alcohol at any time can be consumed in the CBD area.

Map 2 – Portland Foreshore – No alcohol to be consumed between 10pm to 10am and 2pm to 5pm

There will be food trucks, fishing competitions, master-classes, giveaways, children's amusements and activities, wildlife, interactive art, local market stores, food trucks, and a whole lot more.

Saturday the daytime activities lead into a music showcase, where six hours of music will be headlined by Aussie rock icon Jon Stevens.

On Sunday the music continues, featuring local artists. There will also be a free BBQ.

Mayor, Anita Rank says, the family friendly event will have entertainment and activities for all ages to get around.
