On our roads
It's been an indifferent weekend on south-west roads, with police and emergency services called to multiple incidents across the past three days.
A 69-year-old Tyrendarra man died at Codrington on Saturday, following a sudden medical episode which saw the car he was driving leave the road and stop at an embankment.
His wife was travelling with the man and was uninjured.
On Friday morning, two people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after there car left the road and hit a tree near Casterton about 9am.
Then yesterday afternoon, a Mallee man in his 80s was lucky to escape serious injury when a tree fell on his car near Orford, on the Hamilton-Port Fairy Road.
