Cyclist Hit By Car
UPDATE: Hamilton Police have confirmed a male cyclist has been taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Hensley Park Road and Gray Street in Hamilton at approximately 8am on Thursday morning.
The cyclist, believed to be a mature aged male, was treated at the scene by Ambulance Victoria before being taken to Hamilton Hospital where his condition would be assessed.
Acting sergeant Tom Dempsey of Hamilton Highway Patrol provided further details at the scene of the collision.
"It's a vehicle verse bicycle," he said.
"There was one male with implications, they are conscious and breathing and being treated by Ambulance Victoria.
"And investigations are currently ongoing in regards to what has actually occurred."
Police could not confirm if the male cyclist would need to be flown to Melbourne or would be treated locally.
Police have confirmed that the intersection of Hensley Park and Mill Road is now open.
