Long Day Care

Enrolments Open

Families looking to enrol their child in long day care programs in the Glenelg Shire for 2022 are advised of the upcoming enrolment period.

Glenelg Shire managed long day care centres will be accepting enrolments for new families from Monday 20 September, through to 1 October 2021, as part of the official Long Day Care enrolment period.

Sessions will be offered at the following locations:

· Dartmoor Children’s Centre;

· Karreeta Peeneeyt Mara Portland Child and Family Complex; and

· Kathleen Millikan Centre in Casterton.

Glenelg Shire Council Children’s Services Manager Miryam Franjic encouraged families to start preparing their information.

“We are pleased to confirm that long day care programs will be delivered in three locations in 2022, ensuring care is available in all corners of our Shire,” she said.

“I encourage all new families to start considering your session preferences and preparing the required documentation. This includes your child’s current immunisation history statement from Medicare, and if applicable, a signed Medical Action Plan from their child’s doctor.

“Families should also have submitted their claim for Child Care Subsidy via their myGov account, to ensure fee assistance is in place before care begins.

“I look forward to welcoming many new and existing faces to our long day care programs next year.”

Instructions for the online enrolment process can be accessed via the Glenelg Shire Council website from 9am 20 September 2021.
