Local Councils receive funding
The Glenelg Shire Council has been allocated over $9 Million and the Southern Grampians Shire Council over $7.9 Million as part of the Australian Government's new Roads to Recovery Program.
Member for Wannon, Dan Tehan said this allocation under the Roads to Recovery Program is great news for roads in the Glenelg Shire Council and Southern Grampians Shire.
“The funding provides councils with the ability to invest in upgrading local roads, thereby helping to improve safety and efficiency levels for all users of the network and economic growth in their communities.”
The Roads to Recovery Program involves the Australian and local governments and aims to improve roads to support economic growth, support ongoing maintenance, facilitate greater access and improved safety, economic and social outcomes.
