Immediate loss of licence

Branxholme man

A Branxholme man, who decided to take the risk of driving early yesterday morning after a night of drinking, has lost his licence after failing a random breath test.

The 31-year-old was detected driving on the Henty Highway about 6.30am yesterday, and when tested by police, he returned a blood alcohol reading of .114.

Remorseful when caught for the offending, police hope it's a mistake the man does not make again.

Issued with an immediate loss of licence, the drink-driver will be fined significantly, and will not be allowed behind the wheel to drive for at least 11 months.
