Milly Tapper wins Gold at the Commonwealth Games.
Hamilton's Melissa Tapper has won her first Commonwealth Games Gold Medal on the Gold Coast.
Tapper was the first Australian athlete to compete in both the Olympics and Paralympics and she also competed in both able-bodied and para sides of the table tennis on the Gold Coast.
It was a tough schedule for Tapper who competed in five different events including women's team, mixed doubles, women's singles, women's TT61-10 singles and women's doubles.
Tapper defeated Nigeria's 3 games to one in the 6-10 Singles.
Other results over the weekend saw Warrnambool's Maddi Ratcliffe win Silver in the women's hockey, while Nathan Sobey will also win his first Australian Gold medal, as the Boomers close in on a huge win over Canada in the Gold Medal match Sunday afternoon.
