Message not getting through

A Hamilton man aged 21 has been caught drink driving in the early hours of Sunday morning more than four times over the legal limit.

Seen leaving a Hamilton venue, police intercepted the P-Plate driver in Goldsmith St at about 2.45am.

Failing a preliminary breath test the driver was taken to the Hamilton Police Station for a secondary test recording a blood alcohol reading of .210.

Also an interstate man caught speeding at 30 kilometres over the speed limit has been disqualified from driving in Victoria for the next three months.

Detected by a Hamilton Highway Patrol Unit about midday the 21-year-old Queenslander was driving along the Henty Highway around the Rocklands area where there is dense trees and an abundance of wildlife.

Pulled over for driving at 130 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone he was fined $443 and was disqualified from driving in Victoria.

Police said it was a good reminder that no matter where you are driving if you speed you will get caught.
