Georgie Harman, Beyond Blue CEO, said that many people are going through a tough time at the moment, returning to their affected communities, in need of food, water and shelter, which can heavily affect their mental health. According to Ms Harman, Australians are renowned for their resilience, which will be a ‘’Tremendous strength as we support each other through this difficult time.’’

Feeling overwhelmed, detached and irritable are all common reactions to disasters and mental health professionals are available at the Beyond Blue Support Service via phone 24/7.
