A plea to ease restrictions
A a joint letter has been put together by the Committee for Network to the Premier of Victoria, requesting that restrictions for Regional Victoria be eased.
The Region's Committee for Chairs and CEO's felt it necessary to advocate to the Premier that small businesses in regional Victoria need assistance and that regional Victoria needs to get back on its feet.
This advocacy comes off the back of our Love your Local Campaign and development of a new Small Business Working Group.
The letter notes, Regional Victoria’s current 14-day coronavirus case number average currently sits at 0.4 new cases with 0 ‘mystery’ cases.
They state if these numbers were applicable in metropolitan Melbourne, we would be praising the efforts of Melbournians, and businesses would be re-opening in a COVID Normal environment.
